Palm oil production in Malaysia occupied 45 percent of global palm oil production (33,000,000 tons per year) in 2005. In addition, palm oil production in Sabah State was about 6 million tons per year and this amount has more than 43 percent of Malaysian palm oil production. Furthermore, GBD's biodiesel plant located at POIC Sabah has developed at an excellent place for the world's largest dedicated palm oil industrial and logistic hub.
